Kame and Akanishi not getting along a major cause of Jin's going solo? [Akame according to Bubka]

According to Bubka, a rather infamous gossip mag in Japan, the reason why Akanishi Jin left KAT-TUN is because of another member, Kamenashi Kazuya, with whom his relationship was describe as irreparable.

According to someone in the know, the oppostion between Akanishi and the other five members of KAT-TUN has "been getting worse over the years, especially with Kamenashi Kazuya, it is as if their relationship is so broken that it cannot be fixed".

Some time back, Akanishi had left a message on the internet, stating that he and the rest of KAT-TUN "were heading in different directions of development". He also emphasised that he does not dislike the other members and does not have any personal problems with them. However, there has been recent news of Akanishi, who was at a bar in Korea at that time, voicing out his true thoughts. He said "When I'm in the same space as that guy (Kamenashi Kazuya), things will become very unnatural and fustrating." and "I've thought of quitting KAT-TUN since a long time ago."

On the other hand, Kamenashi has also been angered by the "irresponsible" Akanishi. "If he hears Akanishi's name being mentioned at filming or recording studios, he will look very upset and criticise Jin openly, saying things like, 'The day he suceeds is the day America ends.' (Kantsuu)

The reason why I decided to post this is because I saw it on another site. To me, the story about Jin getting drunk and "unveiling his deepest secrets" sounds a bit too dramatic. And even if Kame hates Akanishi's guts, I'm sure he wouldn't be announcing it to everyone he works with. True, I always felt that the relationships in KT were never as natural as Arashi's, but surely they couldn't be that strained?

S/N: Bubka is well-known as a gossip rag. Please keep this in mind~

**added on September 17, 2010, FRIDAY**
Hello everyone, as you can see there have been some very long and emotional comments about this article, and I've seen quite a few posts on Tumblr regarding this article as well. And I know I usually say that I love comments, but after reading all the comments (14 as of now, but I'm going to delete some), I will be removing some off them either because they are too vulgar or just too distasteful. And please do not post stuff like "this article is full of bulls***" because I am going to delete it now! Besides the use of rude words, I really dislike it! I know this is really petty and I hate it when I see this type of thing on other sites but you are the one that chose to read the article. I translated the article from a Chinese entertainment site, which got it off Bubka. How many times do I have to say that Bubka is an "infamous gossip rag"?

CHINESE GOSSIP SITE + BUBKA = 2 X UNRELIABILITY

Some might think that, "If you knew that this might be trash, why bother translating and spreading this rubbish around?". To be honest, I don't really know why I translated this article, it's just for my (and your) entertainment. If you don't want to read, don't read it! And if you really have such a big problem with me translating it, instead of slamming me down anonymously on the internet, send me an email with your point. I will read it and reply unless it's really full of rubbish.

There might be some truth about the article, but it could be grearly exaggerated. Do you have to become so emotional that you have to cuss and write down all sorts of crackpot conspiracy theories about the other party? I am okay with you voicing your views in a restrained manner and maybe providing some extra things about the matter (eg. who attended who's concert) but I get annoyed and distressed when people start hating on someone else, like Kame, Jin, Jin's friends, T-TUN and me! Don't worry though, hating on Johnny Kitagawa and Bubka is fine. :p

I was contemplating disabling comments or deleting the entire post, but then I'd be depriving fans who know how to not take things to seriously of their gossip and the chance for them to air their views/share knowledge. So, please keep your comments clean and relatively objective or I'll delete them!

Also, could we have more comments with names! It's so dull to keep on seeing "Anonymous". And it makes replying to comments hard too. =.= Just give yourself a dumb name there's no need to add your email or website.

Ah, feels so good to let that all out! ~(^0.0^)~ I've just deleted 3 comments. All had vulgarities. This is supposed to be a deterrent, but of course, those who know how to comment without using too many expletives and with respect towards others are always welcome to air their views! :D

  1. it could be possible as from the start Johnny had defined the 2 of them as the leading attractor for the grp, and this probably sort of created this invisible rivalry between them. imo their character seems to clash too

  2. This isn't news because as far back as 2006 Akanishi has voiced this to his friends about Kame. Kame reaction to the statement that Akanishi was going solo fuel more of this type of news. A lot of Akanishi fans and even some Kame fans believe Kame is the reason Akanishi was "pushed out". If you watch the news report the night of their concert, where the reporter asked Kame how he felt, its very telling if you look at his expression and hand movement. Kame is glad Akanishi is out. I don't think Johnny knew how much trouble this decision made. I noticed they no longer put Kame in the middle during news interviews lately. hoping the tension dies down. This will be getting worst since Akanishi real friends are posting on twitter and facebook their comments. From their comments alone.....Akanishi was forced out by Kame. This add fuel to the fire.

It is a known fact that a lot of Akanishi real friends don't like Kame. There has to be a reason behind that. Kame has always had the benefit of Johnny's good will.

in my opinion for Kame to wish someone to fail shows the kind of person he is. Even if Akanishi don't make it in the USA he still can make it in other countries other then just Japan. His comment was also an insult to Americans who like Akanishi's music. I'm disappointed in his attitude toward a former co-worker/member. Even if I dislike a person, I wish them well because someone can dislike me too.

I believe more and more reports will come out about what truly happened because now Akanishi USA concert are postponed.

  3. Could be very true!! After watching the "making of DUES pv" Kame seem to dislike Jin. Even ignoring him when he asked questions. I noticed Kame never say anything to Jin.

Kame got his baseball show, radio show, dramas and KAT-TUN. Jin just got himself and Kame is still upset?!!? feel bad for Jin to have worked with someone with Kame ego.

BTW I'm a Junno fan lol

  4. Maybe Kame wants the "akame" thing!?!?
Maybe that is why things "became very unnatural and frustrating" for Jin?
Maybe the other members was frustrated with the tension between Kame & Jin too.

I have noticed that there was reports of Koki & Maru going to Jin's live but not Kame. A lot of JE seniors went to Jin live but not Kame. Weird but when I think about it, a lot of JE seniors are friends w/ Jin, even some juniors. Koki's little brother even look up to Jin, I would be surprised if the other member dislike Jin too. Koki & maru seem close to Jin.

With all the activities Kame is in these days you'll think he was the one planning on leaving the group first. He did release a single and debut before the other members and no one had any problem with that, to the point that they would had kicked him out.

Kame always called Jin "irresponsible" its a known fact so everything you wrote may very well be true. sad....i lost some respect for Kame.

  5. Ooh, Koki and Maru went to Jin's concert? That's so sweet~ When watching Cartoon KAT-TUN and other Japanese variety shows, I did realise that in Japan, more adults/kids (meaning excluding young women and teens) seem to like Jin a lot, and sometimes Koki. Personally, although I feel that Jin is quite a player and seems to drink a lot, he is an upright person.

Akame does come across as forced. But if Johnny's reason for getting Jin out of KT was because of conflicts, why did he have to spend all the valuable resources to let him go to America? They could have just announced that Jin was going solo and let him have his own concerts in Japan. More convenient, cheaper and Jin would already have a "reliable" fan base. Plus it would be easier for him to work on TV shows if he was in Japan.

  6. there's a saying that Johnny san dote on Jin alot despite most of the staff from the jimusho are againist Jin as he has caused many troubles with his scandals and attitude/behaviour. i guess to pursue a solo in the US has been jin's wish, plus the tension between kame seems to be dragging the group thus Johnny-san reluctantly made this decision to let him out of KT

  7. I don't think Jin is all that much of a player but rather someone who is chasing an image of a "player". The impression I'm getting when watching all his new press-video releases is he THINK "sexy" is obtain to a limited image value.
He still haven't gotten the fact that being "sexy" is a natural thing. He has "it" just being his old self. Now he seem like one those jerk who hit on girls on the street (ooh please don't brick me). He is too much of a mama boy to be a major player...his mom would spank him lol. BTW...I love the fact, he is a mama's boy lol.

i think older females and kids likes Jin because he has a childlike charm sometimes. He act mature in a quiet way but immature when he speaks at times.

Little kids see things clearer lol. Sometimes the things little kids says are so TRUE! lol

I think Jin's attitude maybe due to a natural shyness he is hiding. I noticed that in all the Cartoon shows he doesn't say much unless its scripted or made to by another member. It all depends on his confidence at the moment in time. if you watch some of the shows he doesn't say much but people only see it as him being disinterested but maybe its also because he is shy.

    Just another point of view.

I'm basically shy and had to take a class to over come that for work presentations. Some of the things Jin do/express remind me of how people show me too. Stand offish, bored or bad attitude when i was just too shy to get involved. Too afraid to make a mistake. He started young and didn't get a chance to explore other interest...he is now getting that chance.

Johnny is smart...learning English is a major step to break into ANY market. Johnny knows Jin has talent, he just need to focus that talent.

Damn i type too much ...sorry

  8. Akanishi said he is close to the members and I'm sure he has to say he is "friends" with the members. Some times when there are too many reports of something there maybe a reason.....maybe some of this is true. Lately more and more "staff" are also posting that Kame & Akanishi never really got along.

Sorry...Maybe it always make Kame look bad because he seem happy now that Akanishi is gone. Koki and Maru seem to be the most upset that Akanishi is out of the group.

  9. I've heard that ALL the members of KAT-TUN went to see Jin's live except for Kame. And, all of KAT-TUN's members went to see Kame's stageplay except for Jin. Whatever happened, it seemed to be pretty mutual, so don't you dare try to victimize Jin.

Also, the fact that Jin's real life friends don't like Kame? doesn't reflect so much on Kame as it does on Jin ('s friends), especially if it's only Jin's friends saying it.

People are always so fixated on Akame's relationship, whether they think it's love or hate. So they blow these things up to epic proportions, when in reality they probably just have a normal relationship. I'm hoping that they are both adults and are not childish enough to openly antagonize the other person, especially while on the job.

But paying attention to some of the things that Jin has said in his recent interviews in the past year, he's really said a lot of passive aggressive things towards both Kame and KAT-TUN. So, while I don't believe this article at all, there may be some truth behind the fact that Jin may not get along too well with the rest of KAT-TUN. Or, it's more like he gets along with them as people/human beings, but in terms of musical/career direction, they couldn't be more different. (basically he hates sharing the spotlight and really it's as simple as that.) This is also pretty much what he's said in his internet message to his fans.

By the way, Jin's not shy, he loves performing and he's not afraid to do silly things on camera when he's doing his solo promotions.

  10. i read the comments to this entry and i have to say i agree so much to the last one before me. thank you, fellow anonymous.
ppl go telling how kame is the one who pushed jin out, and i actually disagree. no one pushed anyone. wasn't it so clear how jin loved being solo? he said it himself so many times. plus, kame strikes me rather as a weak person, and if he really did say "The day he suceeds is the day America ends." part then my respect for him grows. it proves he has balls and fights back and is not a wuss. how can a person who does w/e ppl ask him to do to not disappoint them and to please them, and who tries not to hate anyone, because he thinks even those who at first he thought were bad ppl, they must be good ppl too, how can that person be considered a manipulative, suck up bitch?
i don't approve of jin's actions these past months/years, like i don't approve of kame a lot of times (note: i'm not a jin fan anymore), but i don't go around bashing him, when i don't even know half of the things his fans know about him that made them love him and support him to the end.
so, ppl, before you judge, especially over gossips, think twice. it's hardly likely you know as much as you pretend to know about a person.

  11. I don't think this rumor is true at all. Infact in 2008, I read that when Jin attended Kame's Butai, there was so much of commotion because the fans got to know he was there and were harassing for autographs. So his seat had to be changed. This was actually mentioned by Koki during the show's MC. Why would Jin attend in 2008 if in 2006 he was having problems with Kame?

Kame is close to Uchi now and yet Kame didn't attend Uchi's Butai and he smsed Uchi to apologize. This happened in April this year. And yet in Magazine interviews, Uchi and Kame are still friends. My point is that these rumours can't be trusted at all.I believe Kame must have a reason and he would have discussed it with Jin.

As for the reporter during the concert this year. The interview was recorded before Johnny announced the news. And from what I understood, there were just the press just kept on asking about Jin when they were there to promote their concert to a point where it was awkward. The other boys like Maru and Koki and even Ueda also showed it. But somehow people are just fixated with Akame.

  12. "Don't worry though, hating on Johnny Kitagawa and Bubka is fine. :p"

    Lol... I think I like you ;)

Well I dont think Kame would ever talk like this about people. He seems very polite and careful about these things. Jin maybe would. Especially when he's out drunk or tipsy and talks to his friends and maybe gets heard by other people.
I dont think he left because of Kame... he just didnt feel at ease and didnt fit in with KT. He wanted to pursue his own dream I think.
I dont mind that you translate gossip....at all. Its just sad people always exaggerate with their reactions on this... I wish we could handle this like grown-ups and not like kindergarteners... ;)

  13. after reading all the comments against Jin, no wonder there are Kame haters out there. Some people need to champion someone.

Whatever are true or not true, only Jin and Kame know.
Jin is out of the group (all the Jin haters should be happy) that is fact.

There will be more and more reports like these in the future. That is how tabloid magazines make money.

The comment " the day he succeeds is the day America ends" seem hard on America. Everyone have different taste in music. Was it a racist remake? or was it a judgment on American's ways.

Wonder if that comment will be repeated/blown out of proportion when KAT-TUN performs in Hawaii?

  14. Rumor is rumor, we will never know the whole truth. Sure that the fangirls defend their favorite no matter what was said by those gossip sites or Mags. even if there might be some truth in there, we only see what we want to see. I just wonder which too vulgar or just too distastefull comments were given here and eeh even T-TUN or you were hated! Why are people mixing T-TUN in this discussion when its only an Kame/Jin problem. I still see some rude words in the remainging comments. You can´t take out the whole bashing out of those discussions thats a given fact and you should also not take those comments too serious or personal.

Kame and Jin are grown up man and proffessionals or they should be. They will for sure not tell us what they really think of each other. If you are in the public eye you can´t show your real face. They might act all nice and frendly or bad and selfish but in realty they can be the opposite from what immage they were given. Fact is no one from us knows them personaly or will ever get to know them- All we have is our fangirls mind and theories. Last but not least i don´t hate anyone and even not Johnny Kitagawa i actually love this guy w/o him there would not be the wonderfull KAT-TUN,News,Arashi,SMAP,Kinki Kids etc. pp. and also this whole discussion.

    ReplyDelete
  15. @no fan of both

it's not so much "championing" Kame as being upset that someone else's favorite idol is being dragged into the discussion.

Jin left KAT-TUN, and that's fact. Nowhere is there actual evidence that any of the other band members were involved. In fact, there have been reports by people (such as Kobayashi Takeshi) who have seen KAT-TUN working together backstage that they get along surprisingly well. yet this article has to go and make that association of "Akame" once again. The article is completely out of character for Kame and the reason is not because he's "great" or "perfect". I would say he's the type who cares a lot about his reputation so a careless statement like that is uncharacteristic of him.

So yes, Kame fans are going to be kind of angry and retaliate, especially since some people are actually talking about this tabloid article like it's true.

Johnny Kitagawa is a genius! He know how to make money & save money at the same time, that is why there are so many Juniors lol.

Even the way Akanishi left gave BOTH KAT-TUN & Akanishi a lot of free news coverage at the right time.

Didn't read this posting until the disclaimer about the too vulgar comments. I too would had like to have seen the "too vulgar" comments. Is that wrong of me? Maybe but the comments are interesting even if I may not agree with some of them.

  17. I really wonder why it's always just kame and jin hating each other....???? There are other members but when Jin left, Kame was the one blamed and when he left again, it was still kame... When kane was having too many shows, we say it's unfair to Jin?? Not other members???? These are just few things we really need to attend to...

I agree that for kame to comment was quite impossible bec as what people kept on describing him, he keeps all those things to himself...

Watch the vid carefully, he wasn't joyful at all, he was quite distressed, disappointed... And like for the first time he seems to break down...

And plus it's bubka, let's not hate the one who posted the article.... It's plain childish !!! Grow up and stop choosing sides....

    Let' s support them all!

  19. first of all kame is not a person who would voice his opinions out like that in public. even if he has something he disagrees on he always keep it to himself, so definitely kame wouldnt say those kinds of things.
im really sad and disappointed that everyone is putting the blame on Kame every-single-time. Why is it every-single=time Kame and just Kame himself? isnt KAT-TUN a group of 6 guys, why is it only one to blame? Why is it kame's fault when Jin decided to leave himself back in 2006 to LA. i mean Jin decided to leave himself even tho after how long they waited to debut, he still decided to leave for school and during those hard difficult times for KAT-TUN it was still Kame's fault to blame becuz Jin decided to go on a hiatus??

i mean everyone has got to understand Kame is suffering too. Jin is not the only one suffering. has anyone ever though about kame's feelings? And personally kame wasnt happy when Jin left in 2006 and im sure he isnt happy as well either right now. im sure all of kat-tun is not that happy either, since they have started out all together.

  20. Time will tell what is true and what is fiction.

Some members voiced their support and so far we have heard from 3 out of the 5. Maru, Junno and Ueda each voiced/showed their support for Jin's solo openly.

Hopefully everything work out for all 6 of them.

hmmm....I'm so looking forward to Johnny's New Year's eve concert this year. Wonder if they all will perform together there?! aren't all Johnny's suppose to perform as a family.

Heheh, I'm curious too! I guess Jin will perform in the Johnny's countdown, since all along all the solo Johnny's (Juniors) perform... Uchi Hiroki, Kondo Masahiko, Ikuta Toma... (Oh man I'm getting excited for the countdown now!!!) I can't wait to see KAT-TUN on the same stage together again! And hopefully, one day after everything boils over, they can appear as guest stars for each others' concerts or something! :DD

  22. @ichi I agree with you so much.this article pretty much lost me the moment I saw the 'The day he suceeds is the day America ends.' There is just no way Kame would say something like this. He is a professional and knows what to say or not, especially in public.
haha it's 2012 and i am still commenting about this..sry some of the comments just pissed me off. People really shouldn't talk like this is true. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Jin stans who thought this was true.

This article is so old, but it's still so interesting for some reason, lol.

Anyway, I'd be pretty neutral about this; including the characters of Kame and Jin as people.

    @ Anonymous:

"By the way, Jin's not shy, he loves performing and he's not afraid to do silly things on camera when he's doing his solo promotions."

Jin said himself that he was a shy person (which I find obvious when I watch him, especially being a male Cancer; I act "shy" in the same way he does, which comes off as disinterested and having a "uninteresting" to others). Loving performing or doing silly things doesn't mean you do not exude a shy default persona, or that you don't act shy in many moments. Even Kame said he is a very shy person by default; he just actively tries to overcome it and keep it quelled, but even now I always see an endearing "discomfort" and "keep it together" or "am I responding right?" neurosis from him during broadcasts when he's not speaking. It's very cute.

Both of their "shy attitudes" make them come off as almost unapproachable by accident sometimes, too. You can tell that people probably don't always experience them the way they experience themselves to be.

Beyonce and Michael Jackson are painfully awkward and shy when not performing too, so it doesn't mean they're not shy just because they grind on stage. This just means these people have comfort zones, which is when they're in their elements, performing their crafts. I can very much speak up for myself, be a huge joker, and etc, but by default, I come off as shy to people. It's a defense mechanism for me, personally; to not reveal too much about myself then and there -- until I feel comfortable, or am in my element.

"how can a person who does w/e ppl ask him to do to not disappoint them and to please them, and who tries not to hate anyone, because he thinks even those who at first he thought were bad ppl, they must be good ppl too, how can that person be considered a manipulative, suck up bitch?"

Kame has once said he tends to use a lot of guilt manipulation and be moody at times; having never known that in the beginning of becoming his fan, (which I still am; don't care much for Jin), I would've never pictured the "happy go lucky" and "giving" impressinon I had of him to even remotely be coupled with that. They completely negate each other. But he's also said that depending on what role he's playing, he used to feel torn between many personalities; he even said he becomes unintentionally arrogant/"stuck up/only caring about his hairtstyle" when in the role of "Kazuya Kamenashi from KAT-TUN," then polite and etc when out of it, to a point where he questioned, "Just who am I really?"

That isn't to say he's somehow a bad guy in disguise, just that he has different personality types, which are sometimes influenced by that environment in time, or a feeling in time. And I can believe that, because in that industry I would feel "on" all the time until I got home, too.

Now, taking Kame's character completely out of the conversation, (I am just focusing on the general idea of how "can people who do this then do this?" theme gets thrown away too much, because none of us are "one type" of person), the whole point about human character is that we can have our contradictions in a personality, which can really confuse us. I swear that I have rigid value systems, but I often catch myself "contradicting" those systems and doing the exact thing I preached to dislike about others, or would never do simply because it rejects my idea of moral character. I also desire closeness, but just as well exhibit a total rejection against the latter on a subconscious level, so I'm sure someone observing me could say, "how could a person who distances herself emotionally from everyone she meets actually crave such emotional intimacy with everyone she meets to the point where it defines her life?" Thus I don't like to demonize, glorify, or reject the multiple characters one character could possibly show or have deep inside. It's a disservice to them.

Take ESFJ personality types for example; they operate off making other people happy and pretty much doing everything they're told, because they're sacrifical humanitarians. However, when you cross them, they use that to black-mail and manipulate, pretty much like, "because I do this much for you or others, I am immune to being disliked or "in the wrong," and don't you ever forget it" either in a guilt-manipulating, passive aggressive way. Some of ESFJ's even act "people-friendly, sacrifical and righteous" to be worshipped or put on a pedestal by others around them, like one big show. Their innate goodness doesn't make them immune; that's all I mean to point out.

"plus, kame strikes me rather as a weak person, and if he really did say "The day he suceeds is the day America ends." part then my respect for him grows. it proves he has balls and fights back and is not a wuss."

It's not exactly a "fight back" or "standing up" for yourself "comment," just a (fabricated) insult. That's not to say he said it; just to say that's not the type of comment I would use when hinting at Kame's "strength." In all honesty, Kame doesn't strike me as a weak person. And if he was able to get into a fist fight with Ueda (who I couldn't even PICTURE raising a fist without me LOL-ing) that he initiated, at any age, then he surely has never been weak. I do feel like he's emotionally watery and then often emotionally fiery, but that's not the same as a person who has no balls.

He comes off to me as someone being perfectly capable of standing up for himself; he just seems to choose the circumstances and carefully pick his battles on a conscious effort (and not because he's carefully conscious as a character, because I get the feeling he's not; thus why the conscious carefulness stays intact. He even said way back that he'd begun to slow down and actually deliberate things, instead of just feeling through them on an impulsive level all the time, so that says to me that he's practicng being consciously conscious), especially if the "pleasing" is work-related. Image is about being a product and selling yourself according to how consumers want you. Hell, some people even treat relationships like that, and he probably does. But if he had no ties to anything, I don't picture him doing back-flips at all. I think he keeps quite a few things for himself, and with a passion. I think he can especially choose his rebellions, too. Dancing, acting, or dressing "feminine" in a society where masculinity is so "capitalized" on and in which criticizes him for being that way, or not liking "barriers and walls," and believing that he shouldn't show respect to people JUST because of their "title" in a culture that demands this, is the opposite of being "totally people pleasing and doing everything people say." Like I said, he picks his battles and, to me, stands behind them.

He's been able to openly criticize anything and some people too (Jin being irresponsible), so he's not restrained or reserved in that, either. Perhaps not as much as Koki or Jin, but still. He cares about his reputation but I don't get the feeling that he *always* will hold back; I think he says things sometimes just in a watered down way, but other times, in a blunt way --- then most times, not at all or "neutrally." Though I can't picture him saying, "The day he succeeds will be the day America ends" around "staff" just to say it. If he really felt that way I don't think he WOULDN'T say it to Jin's face; I just don't. And I don't picture that as a "racist statement against America" if it were true, even. More like saying America will be doomed due to Jin.

Anyway, I don't know about their relationship but with the limited footage I have seen, Jin has come across as distant from KAT-TUN period a few times, and Kame as come across as awkward/stiff with Jin sometimes, too --- but also in some interview-footages with KAT-TUN period, which I chalk up to, "just having another day at work" like the rest of us. Or hell, a bad day or a few sleepless nights.

  27. Why does most comments blame Kame for what happened? Jin has always been influenced by America's culture eversince so leaving KAT-TUN was in prediction by the others. I don't know if they're still friends or what but I would love seeing them in together as friends.

  28. I like kame and jin. I want to bliv that they wil tell us all wat rily happnd. Am sure they will be frnds again someday
or perhaps they are stil frnds but are nt alowd to say so. Since there are instances that we see them laugh and talk to each other. I mean they are actors right? Why dont they show us they get along with each other. Like koki he once said he does nt like the other members but he still talk with them. Its just jin and kame that u can see they try to avoid each other. Its easy for johny to tell them to get along specially when being film. We all know they will folow what they have been told. So why do they try really hard to.keep the two apart?
