Doppelganger: Matsumoto Jun and Ezra Miller

Anyone notice how eerily similar Matsumoto Jun and Ezra Miller are? I've been noticing that since watching We Need to Talk about Kevin, but recently with all the Wallflower movie ads and articles around I got reminded to share this with everyone!

I made a new blog. It's been about time, now. I didn't feel like I could carry on a personal blog here with an overwhelming majority of people coming hear to read about J-pop rather than myself. It's been fun running this blog, and I've been glad to hear from readers along the way. I dragged the abandonment of this blog far longer than I really should have, but now it has to end.

My new blog is It's completely unrelated to J-pop or Japanese culture, but a personal blog, like andwewonder was in the beginning.

If you have once ever read my blog faithfully and just happen to be checking back in hope that I update again - I'm sorry. Please know that I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to bring joy, entertainment, and gossip to your life.

I won't be deleting this blog.

Once again, thank you. It's been a wonderful journey, and it's time to draw this chapter to an end.

Lots of love, Theresa

Suddenly felt the urge to blog again and was really tempted to create a new blog, but I think I'll just continue using this old one for now.

Trying hard to do my revision but it seems to take forever for me to understand anything...

Block tests are coming in slightly more than 36 hours time, and I'm flitting between teetering on the brink of a meltdown and feeling eternally optimistic (hope springs eternal, remember?). I've also started turning to Japanese dramas and songs to chase away the exam blues. Arashi and Hana Kimi always make me laugh. :') Also Oguri Shun's married and Kimura Takuya got caught speeding.

And some other things I did during the week-long holidays.

  • Get four fillings at the dentist. I've only had one cavity from 9 years ago, so it was.... A surprise, to say the least.
  • Wake up thrice at 7AM to go jogging, only to find that it was raining.
Ok honestly I can honestly only think of the four fillings because it was disturbing and probably also because I am fairly boring.

The harder I work, the luckier I become.

I can't really explain why the above phrase appeals to me so much. I guess it's because I find myself more proud of things that happen to me through luck (eg. scoring 10/10 for my econs MCQ test a few weeks ago through sheer luck hehe ^^) rather than things that happen through the more unglamorous route of sheer hard work.

But luck alone isn't enough to get me through A's... So yes, I'm going to work hard.

PS: Just realised how stupid this post sounds!

Charlie's Chocolate

I found out that my mum threw away my Charlie and the Chocolate Factory book yesterday, and got really upset about it. (both at losing the book and her throwing it away) To try to calm myself down, I actually typed this out. It's not the full story and it might not make much sense, but here it is:

You don’t just throw away other people’s things like that. You will never be able to guess just how much a tattered book or small gimcrack could mean to someone else. Even if you bought it for someone else, or if it’s something the two of you share – something seemingly worthless to you could be of infinite value to someone else.

Rather stressed about post-JC education. Not just the debate over studying overseas or staying in Singapore, even deciding what sort of course I want to take up is a headache. I've just read Hwa Chong's guide on studying in the US and it seems that most universities look at sec 3, sec 4, O-level and JC1 results. That's too bad for me then.

Must really start playing the piano again. :> And writing.

And I really need to get an A for GP in the A-levels. Was really embarrassed about my A2 the last time.
