Ueda on his solo concert, toe injury and Akanishi Jin

KAT-TUN’s Ueda Tatsuya has his solo live concert at The First Gymnasium in Yoyogi on September 26. It was reported last month that during KAT-TUN’s concert in Taipei, Ueda broke his left big toe. However, he still continued to perform at the next concert, which was on the next day.
Ueda’s solo concert tour started early last month in which he will have 8 performances in 5 cities. Although his injury is not yet completely healed and it was said that he’s still in pain, he acted like a professional and even ran around the stage, completely focused on the stage director’s instructions.
“SCOOP! Shougeki Shasin” gave a detailed report about Ueda’s accident in Taiwan and had photos showing the sequence of Ueda’s 3 meter jump. “After I jumped, I just thought ‘This is bad’,” he said in a joke.
About his first solo live tour, Ueda expressed that he’s so happy about it and it was his dream to have one. When asked about Akanishi Jin, who have left the group and will perform in 5 cities in the US, all Ueda said is “He is my friend. So I’ll be supporting him in his activities”. (tokyohive)

Staff from Ueda's solo concert suffered from food poisoning, two hospitalised

I saw this article a few days back but decided not to translate it then, because I felt that it was quite a minor bit of news. But now I feel like sharing it with everyone, since you're probably interested in anything there is to know about KAT-TUN! >_<

Ueda Tatsuya (26) of KAT-TUN has been plagued by bad luck recently. On August 27, he broke his toe during KAT-TUN's concert. Still, he perservered and came back for their second concert the next day. His actions touched fans greatly. He then went on to perform his solo concert in Hiroshima on August 29.

However, it seems that there was an outbreak of food poisoning amongst the staff who were preparing for the concert. Over 10 staff were said to be affected, with 17 in their late 10s and early 20s reporting symptoms such as abdominal pain and vomiting. Two of the staff were hospitalised. Since all of them ate similar catered food, the food poisoning outbreak is probably from that meal.

Ueda himself was not affected by this incident. Apparently, another food poisoning case had occured at the same venue in 2007, with over 40 people being admitted to hospital. (Entame)

how does the back hair of tamamori yuta look?

I've only ever seen him in Gokusen 3's SP and the Gokusen movie so I don't know much about him. And he probably had a special hairstyle for filming, but I think his hair was light brown during the movie? And the back part was long (some strands of hair were touching his shoulder. It was pretty layered and wispy. All this is from my memory, so it might not be so accurate. Haha, I don't think this helped much!

Ueda Tatsuya's toe broken from concert mishap

It was earlier reported that KAT-TUN member Ueda Tatsuya had disjointed his left big toe during their live concert in Taiwan on Friday. However, it seems that it is more serious than originally reported, as two parts of his toe are actually broken.

KAT-TUN held the final day of their “KAT-TUN LIVE TOUR 2010 PART2 : WORLD BIG TOUR” at Taiwan Arena yesterday, and Ueda showed up on stage with his broken toe, exactly as he had promised to earlier.

He said to audience of 13,000, “I’m sorry for making you worried, but I will try to give you a good performance, as much as I can.”

Tatsuya also a solo concert “MOUSE PIECE unting with FIVE TATSUYA UEDA LIVE 2010” in Hiroshima today (August 29th), and he will perform, even with his injury. (tokyohive)

Ueda Tatsuya injured during KAT-TUN concert in Taipei

On Friday, KAT-TUN's Ueda Tatsuya (26) was injured during their concert at the Taipei Arena. He dislocated his left big toe and had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance, but the other members successfully finished off the performance. In addition, it was learned that same day that the group has big concert plans for next year.

Ueda's injury occurred near the end of the concert. After finishing his solo of "RABBIT OR WOLF," he jumped down from a 3-meter-tall stage, but failed to land on target. He was able to make it backstage on his own, where he collapsed. He was transported to a nearby hospital by an ambulance on standby.

Bandmate Kamenashi Kazuya (24) promised the 13,000 fans that Ueda will be back for Saturday's (today's!) concert. Johnny's Entertainment has also said that since Ueda wants to perform today, he will do so, even though his injury might affect his performance. It has already been confirmed that Ueda returned to the group's lodging after he received medical treatment at the hospital. Johnny's Entertainment has also stated that he will perform a solo concert in Hiroshima on Sunday as planned.

Next year marks the 5th anniversary of KAT-TUN's CD debut. To celebrate, they are currently in the planning stages of two concert tours. One will take place between spring and summer and consist of five shows within Japan. Instead of typical venues such as domes, they are reportedly aiming to perform at industrial complexes.

The second tour is scheduled for fall 2011, and it will be an overseas tour taking them to Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, China, and Hawaii. (Tokyograph)

First erson I thought of when I saw the title was Jun! I thought he'd top the list, especially with his new dorama where he's playing a tsundere. I hate love Bakanishi, but I don't really know what he's doing there, along with Tegoshi! My faves in this list: Matsujun, Kame and Ueda! <3

Nakamaru embarrassed about everyone knowing that he goes Dutch

KAT-TUN member, Nakamaru Yuichi, has received the dishonorable image of being the “Dutch guy.”
This topic was discussed during the live concert “KAT-TUN LIVE TOUR 2010 PART2：WORLD BIG TOUR” at Tokyo Dome on the 17th. Members were talking about “who pays for the food when you go out to eat with other member”, and Ueda Tatsuya said that Yuichi definitely goes Dutch. The utterance surprised other members, but Yuichi was complaining.
This is the conversation between the members:
Nakamaru Yuichi: Please stop! It is going to spread all over the internet, especailly nowadays through blogs.
Kamenashi Kazuya: Probably if you search “Nakamaru Yuichi” on the internet, “Nakamaru Yuichi, Dutch” will come out right away.
Tanaka Koki: And you will see “Did you mean ‘Nakamaru Yuichi, Dutch” on the top.
Unfortunatly, Yuichi’s worry became true. When you search “Nakamaru Yuichi” on the Yahoo! JAPAN, the first thing you see is “Nakamaru Yuichi, Dutch” now. (tokyohive)

Why I'm developing a crush on everyone in KAT-TUN

I've been becoming more interested in KAT-TUN than Arashi (oh no!), especially after watching like 75 episodes of Cartoon KAT-TUN, but I still don't really have a favourite member. So I've been taking some KAT-TUN quizzes. Haha! Yes, I do think they're silly but it's lots of fun! I've also included an extremely lengthy summary (how ironic) of what I think about each member as a love interest. MAN, JIN TOTALLY OWNS BIEBER! Okay, I know this is not a fair test etc, but I just thought it was pretty funny. Anyway, for those of you who are interested, I found a review of the concert here. I'm really glad it went well. :)

I've been addicted to Cartoon KAT-TUN for the past few days! It's really, really interesting and I'm starting to think that I would continue watching the show even if KAT-TUN weren't the hosts. But I find that Akanishi Jin and Ueda Tatsuya are too quiet during the show. :/ Oh, I've developed a strong liking for Ueda! He's pretty, smart, not scrawny but slender, and strong! And I kind of like him for his quietness, though I wish he'd speak up more! Too bad he doesn't appear in dramas often.

KAT-TUN's Ueda Tatsuya together with Kobayashi Ryoko?

Apparently, KAT-TUN member Ueda Tatsuya (26) has been spotted with actress Kobayashi Ryoko (20) on a date this week. The report states that both of them had met during the stageplay "Romeo & Juliet" last spring, and ended up falling in love with each other. The couple even held hands during interviews, and there had already been speculation about their relationship then.

Some of Ueda's female fans are actually delighted over the news, as there had been some uncertainty over his sexual orientation due to his neutral image. (Entame)
